Skin cancer is the most common of all cancers, affecting more than two million Americans each year. If diagnosed and treated early, it is the easiest to cure. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends that everyone practice monthly head-to-toe self examination of their skin.
Look for the ABCDE signs of melanoma, and if you see one or more, make an appointment with a physician immediately.
Document your skin cancer self-examinations by using the AAD Body Mole Map to keep track of any spots that you notice on your body.
